“Lamar Jackson is different, he’s special” – Peyton Manning urges young QBs to steer clear of studying Ravens QB’s tape

Lamar Jackson has looked quite impressive this season and the Baltimore Ravens have emerged as a Super Bowl contender due to his brilliance. The Ravens recently defeated the New Orleans Saints 27-13 and are now 6-3 this season.

The Ravens are currently at the top of the AFC North and are the favorites to reclaim the division title from the Cincinnati Bengals. In the game against the Saints, Jackson made some great plays that left Peyton Manning in awe.

During the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football, Peyton Manning said this about Lamar Jackson:

"How'd you get that? He switched hands. Twice, twice. He just faked it and just threw it. Speed did not move at all. The speed is stay there this is steps and throws in the easiest I've ever seen that."

Peyton Manning continued:

"I've never seen that. Hey, I couldn't do that. Young quarterbacks don't watch that. That is not normal. That is not easy to do. Get your feet set. Lamar Jackson is different. He's special. He can make those kind of throws. You can't."

Lamar Jackson's skillset is unmatched and the Baltimore Ravens are lucky to help him. Not only Manning, but many other all-time greats are always left stunned by the brilliance of the Ravens quarterback.

The Baltimore Ravens will face the Carolina Panthers in Week 11 after their bye week, and Jackson would love to continue this form and push for the MVP award.

Why did Lamar Jackson turn down the Ravens' $250m contract extension?

During the offseason, Lamar Jackson turned down an offer presented by the Baltimore Ravens for a contract extension. The offer was worth around $250 million but not much of it was in guaranteed money.

Due to this, Jackson didn't sign it and decided to bet on himself just like Aaron Judge did this past season with the New York Yankees. While Judge has put on a historic season and is on his way to winning the AL MVP, Jackson has also had a phenomenal season.

The market value for the Ravens quarterback has certainly risen and next offseason he might even get something around the $300 million mark. The contract extensions that will be offered to quarterbacks like Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert are also going to help raise Jackson's valuation in the market.
