"Propaganda needs to end" - Jordan Poyer's wife Rachel Bush tears into gun laws post Tennessee shooting
Earlier this week, six lives were lost in a tragic school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooting took place on Monday, right after 10:00 AM in the morning. Children would be having one last full week of classes before their Easter break began.
The news has gripped the world in grief, especially with three children losing their lives in the incident. Furthermore, the incident has once again given rise to some debate around the topic of gun laws, eliciting some response from various people. This includes Jordan Poyer's wife Rachel Bush, who went on to slam propaganda and politics, prioritizing nothing above children's safety:
"As a mom, my child will NOT be attending school until I know they will protect her how I do in my own home," Rachel Bush wrote. "The political bs and propaganda needs to end. Words do nothing. Criminals and the mentally unstable do not care. We need action. On a NATIONAL level so every criminal KNOWS school zones are protected and these children are SAFE!"
In another story, Bush spoke about homeschooling and admitted that many parents might not have that option:
"I strongly encourage you to speak up. Write, call, pressure your representatives into change. There's power in numbers. Enough. Protect these children".
Apart from Rachel Bush, other NFL Stars also reacted to the Covenant school shooting
Following the shooting, there will be a fundraiser to help affected families and people connected to the Covenant school. Furthermore, all money raised from the April 4 fundraiser will go to the school's mental health services.
NFL stars Eric Decker and Delaine Walker will be involved in the process, helping raise money for the families and teachers who belong to the school's community.
Taylor Lewan, who formerly played for the Tennessee Titans, ended up sharing his views on the horrific incident:
"This s*** has got to stop," Taylor Lewan said. "Disgusting, these are children."
Derrick Henry, who is currently with the Titans, added:
"I am heartbroken and sick over the lives lost today at Covenant School. I’m praying for comfort and peace for all those affected in our community 🙏🏾♥️"
