Puka Nacua reveals one thing he won’t get to do thanks to Rams' prep for NFL divisional round vs Eagles
Puka Nacua revealed the LA Rams' travel plans as they head to Philadelphia for the NFC divisional round. The Rams defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round and will face the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.
On Wednesday, Nacua was a guest on "The Pat McAfee Show" and spoke to J.J. Watt, who made his weekly appearance on the program. Watt asked about the Rams' travel arrangements as they had to travel back from Arizona after the game was moved due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
"How are you guys handling this week?" Watt said. "I'm curious, because you haven't had to fly back from Arizona Monday night, and then you have to fly out. I assume you're flying out Saturday, or you guys are two day early team?"
The wide receiver said that they won't be flying in until the day before the game. He joked that he wished he would have gotten an extra day in the "City of Brotherly Love" as he could have had a Philly Cheesesteak.
"Ooh, I wish we were two days early," Nacua said. "That means, I get nice and early for the cheesesteak before we got to stay in the hotel. Now we're flying on Saturday. Shoot. We had a day off yesterday, getting a move around today, see how Matthew Stafford's through and see if we can sling it around."
Nacua said that he was looking forward to getting back on the practice field with the Rams after having a day off yesterday. He added that his production would be based on whether Matthew Stafford would be ready to throw the ball again.
Rams WR Puka Nacua apologizes to mother for hype video
The LA Rams had a rough week leading up to their wild-card game against the Minnesota Vikings. Their practice time was limited as the wildfires ran rampant throughout the Los Angeles area.
The players and their families were evacuated to Glendale, Arizona, where they played their home playoff game. The dominant win over the Vikings was a big step for the Rams. Puka Nacua was handed a phone to do a hype video for his team's social media accounts.
Nacua got excited about the win and nearly dropped an expletive. He hilariously apologized to his mom for the slip-up.
"Rams house in this ...motha, mom, sorry," Nacua said.
The LA Rams will prepare on a short week to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
