“Put Joe Flacco in already” – 49ers star had enough of Zach Wilson stinking up Jets’ offense during TNF humbling vs Jaguars
Zach Wilson's time as the New York Jets quarterback might be over. He once again disappointed everyone during the 19-3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
On a day when the Jets' defense showed up once again, Wilson was unable to get going and was benched during the game. Chris Streveler came in to replace him and played better than the former 2nd overall pick.
While Wilson was having difficulty moving the New York Jets offense, pro Bowler Kyler Juszcyzk wanted the Jets to put veteran quarterback Joe Flacco in the game for Wilson.

The Jets didn't put Joe Flacco in for Wilson as they thought Streveler would be the better option. Chris Streveler finished the game by throwing 10/15 passes for 90 yards. He also rushed for 55 yards in nine carries.
Before getting benched, Wilson completed 9/18 throws for 92 yards and an interception. He had a passer rating of 41.9 as the Jets scored just three points in the game.

While Wilson struggled with the Jets, Trevor Lawrence showed everyone why he was such a highly touted player coming out of college. The Jaguars now have a legitimate chance of making it to the playoffs, and that would be a great achievement for them.
The Jaguars will be heavy favorites for their next game against the Houston Texans.
What's next for Zach Wilson?
Although Jets head coach Robert Saleh has claimed that this isn't the end of Wilson in New York, it seems very unlikely that he will start another game for them.
If Mike White would have recovered from his ribs injury, Wilson wouldn't have played either, and now it seems like the Jets would give a chance to Chris Streveler if White isn't back healthy by next week.

The Jets are likely to be in the market for a quarterback in free agency, and we might even see Jimmy Garoppolo signing with them. There will be other quarterbacks available in the market as well next season, due to which, the Zach Wilson era in New York might very well be over.
With the loss to the Jaguars, the Jets are 7-8. They will be up against the Seattle Seahawks next week, and it will be a tough matchup for them.
