Raheem Mostert's wife Devon fact checks NFL fan for trolling Dolphins RB
Raheem Mostert's wife isn't going to take insults against her husband lying down. On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins beat the New England Patriots, despite playing without Tua Tagovailoa, who was nursing a concussion, and losing De'Von Achane mid-game.
In the Patriots game, Mostert recorded 90 rushing yards for 19 carries but failed to record any touchdown. However, a fan did not seem too pleased and took to Instagram to criticize him saying:
"Probably bc bro never played before"
But Devon was quick to hit back saying:
"'never played before?' 🤔 He's been in the league for 10 years and holds multiple NFL records, both league-wide and with individual franchises. Your attempt to be disrespectful doesn't add up..."
Raheem Mostert set the Dolphins' record for most single-season rushing touchdowns with 18 in the 2023 season. He also set the franchise's total touchdowns record with 21.
Devon then captioned the screenshot of her comment with the warning:
"When people try your husband. Suggestion: DON'T"
Looking at her previous stories, it seemed that for some reason, she couldn't make it to Gilette Stadium to watch her husband play, and instead had to watch the game from home.
Devon gives props to husband Raheem Mostert for putting "team over himself"
During the team's season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mostert sustained a chest injury. It resulted in him missing out on the next three games. Mostert has proven to be the team's talisman, as the team has only won those games so far in which he played, fully or partially.
After today's game against the Pats, Devon shared a post about Raheem Mostert and penned a heartfelt note for her husband.
"When your husband was supposed to have a super limited role coming off injury, but always puts the team over himself. Wow, that was stressful. So proud of you @raheemmostert"
In the very next story, she complimented her husband and said that he was again like fine wine.
"Aging like fine wine @raheemmostert, and continuing to prove - age ain't nothing but a number... and people's attempt to cap off and set a limit on talent. Keep raising the bar, baby!"
Mostert wasn't expected to play fully considering he was still recovering from the chest injury, but after De'Von Achane was lost to a concussion, he had to step up and prop up the team's already banged-up offense.
Thankfully, the Dolphins have a bye in the upcoming week which should be enough for both Achane and Raheem Mostert to get back stronger to the gridiron.
In their upcoming game, the Dolphins will be taking on the Indianapolis Colts, who have turned to veteran Joe Flacco at quarterback.
