Raiders' Davante Adams serves Chargers' social media team stern warning: “Keep my name out your mouth”

Davante Adams had a stern warning for the Chargers' social media team, and it's likely not going to bode too well when the Raiders come up against them. That's because they seem to have thoroughly irritated the Las Vegas wide receiver.

The Chargers' social media team had shown him next to a trash can in the video, and Davante Adams said that he intends to come back at them by defeating the Raiders on the field. In an interview with Kay Adams, he said:

"It was a little trend a little bit ago where, you know, few of the social media pages were posting some funny stuff of, when the schedule was releasing.
"So, they posted me and then, a trash can or something like that, the Chargers did. So, I thought about responding on social media to it and being funny there, but I figured it'd be better to, just beat their head in and realize and continue doing it the way."

He recounted his statistics against the Chargers, having clearly come prepared:

"Because my first game against them, I don't know, they clearly forgot… First game 141 yards and a touchdown. And then the next time, that same year, it was, like, a 177 yards and, 2 touchdowns.
"I think it was that game. So I just wanted to kinda remind them what they've been going through as it pertains to playing against me."

Davante Adams also absolved the players from being involved in this whole kerfuffle and said that his ire was reserved only for those managing the Chargers' social media page. He concluded:

"And, hopefully, the people that have made that post because it's not the player's fault. They didn't have anything to do with the post, but this is directed strictly toward the Chargers social media page. Please keep my name out your mouth."

Chargers video had poked fun at themselves when discussing Davante Adams and Raiders

The tongue-in-cheek video by the Chargers social media team took aim at a variety of subjects.

For example, it made a 28-3 reference for the Falcons. But when it came to the Raiders and showed them as clowns and Davante Adams adjacent to a trash can, they also advertised themselves getting hammered 63-7.

That game saw Davante Adams racking up 101 yards and a touchdown in a 63-21 win in Las Vegas' favor. Los Angeles' social media team didn't seem to have any problem reminding their own fans of the humiliation but would not have counted the wide receiver taking it so seriously.
