Raiders player makes 'Pawn Stars' Rick Harrison and Chumlee jealous by showing off million-dollar Pokémon card

The Las Vegas Raiders and Pokemon don't seem connected until an NFL player meets Rick Harrison and Chumlee. Raiders linebacker Blake Martinez met with the stars of the TV show "Pawn Stars" to flash a Pokémon, but it's not just any ordinary Pokemon card.

The Pokémon card in question is valued at $1 million. Martinez met Harrison and Chumlee during a meet and greet session at Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas.

The linebacker showed off his very rare card, a Pokémon Illustrator, as the stars of "Pawn Stars" got a closer look. The card is said to be one of the rarest cards in the history of all Pokémon cards. Only four Pokémon Illustrator cards were made.

That makes it a bona fide commodity. Experts feel the card could bring in over $1 million. There is one in better condition, which sold for $4 million.

Martinez is a huge Pokémon fan as he has been collecting the cards since he was six years old. As for how the six-figure card got into the linebacker's possession, he had it sent to him via FedEx from someone in Japan.

The meeting between Martinez, Harrison and Chumlee seems odd to some. But all three came together because Martinez and Chumlee trade cards on the same website.

Blake Martinez and his NFL career, including with the Raiders

Martinez played the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers. The Packers drafted Martinez in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In the 2017- 18 season, Martinez led the NFL in combined tackles with 144 tackles.

Martinez spent the next two seasons of his career with the New York Giants, playing 19 games with the franchise.

Lastly, the former Stanford Cardinal star signed with the Raiders this offseason. Thus far, Martinez has played in two games for Las Vegas in the 2022-23 season.

The Raiders next play the New Orleans Saints later today at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
