Rams star Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly pens down heartfelt note for QB’s 15th NFL anniversary

The star quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams, Matthew Stafford has completed 15 years in the NFL. 15 years is a long time, and it’s an appreciable achievement for Stafford.

Talking about appreciation, Stafford’s wife, Kelly recently shared words of affirmation for the quarterback.

On Saturday, Kelly Stafford shared an Instagram post, with a heartwarming note praising her husband. Along with the note, Kelly attached an adorable picture of the quarterback. Expressing her emotions, she said:

“I truly love and respect the man you are.. you always surprise me with the way you handle yourself. You are the ultimate leader and team player..no matter how banged up inside and out you are, you always put your team ahead of yourself. You are one of the good guys, a true professional and an example for the younger generation to strive to be like.”

Going forward in the note, Kelly described how Stafford has set high standards for their daughters’ future partners. Moreover, she expressed how she’ll always remain the biggest cheerleader of the quarterback, no matter what role he’s playing.

“Yes you are a quarterback, but that role is nothing compared to the role you play in this family. I will always be your biggest cheerleader for whatever role you are playing..so here is to year 16, let it be your best year yet!” Kelly concluded her note.

Kelly Stafford’s heart-touching note came almost a month after she confessed to dating Stafford’s backup in college to piss him off. She received massive backlash over her confession, which ended up with an apology from her end.

Ex-Jaguars RB Fred Taylor unimpressed with Kelly Stafford’s apology over viral dating confession

Kelly Stafford’s confession attracted criticism from not just fans but also from multiple renowned celebrities, including Stephen A. Smith. Apart from him, former running back of Jacksonville Jaguars, Fred Taylor wasn’t impressed by Kelly’s apology too.

“Kelly’s selfish at the end of the day. She's very f**king selfish; I mean, to even bring it up like you said originally at this venture, it makes absolutely zero sense. And then to double down and bring this man's entire family out of the woodwork. He was at peace chilling. So, she's selfish, and it was very unnecessary to initiate,” Taylor said via The Pivot podcast.

After receiving backlash over her sincere apology to the backup quarterback, Kelly shared an Instagram post, calling out ‘insecure men'.

It’s been almost a month, and things have settled down for the couple. But as the offseason comes to an end, expectations of fans from Stafford keep on rising. Let’s see what the season brings for the Rams and its quarterback.
