Rappers Cam'Ron & Ma$e troll Cowboys legend Michael Irvin over his 1996 cocaine arrest

Michael Irvin is a certified NFL legend on the field. The three-time Super Bowl champion has impressed many with his on-field performances. However, Irvin has faced controversies off the field. Rappers Cam’Ron and Ma$e did not hold back in rubbing in those controversies behind Irvin’s back.

The Dallas Cowboys legendary wide receiver appeared on the "Come Talk 2 Me" podcast, hosted by Cam’Ron and Ma$e, on Tuesday. The trio along with podcast producer Treasure Wilson, discussed the upcoming NFL season and the Cowboys’ game plan at length. However, once Irvin left, the conversation shifted to cocaine.

Wilson wanted the rappers’ reaction to a viral picture of NBA legend Michael Jordan's son, in which, according to her, he might be sniffing “white stuff.” However, both rappers’ first reaction involved Irvin.

“Yeah I’ll wait for Mike [Michael Irvin] to get off before talking about that cocaine,” Cam'Ron said.
“Yeah, we don’t want to trigger him”, replied Ma$e, while containing his laughter.
“We don’t want nobody getting triggered", Cam'Ron added.

Notably, Irvin was arrested in 1996 at a hotel party in Texas. The police found marijuana and cocaine at the premises, Irvin was charged with a felony, and he did not contest the charge. He served four years' deferred probation and paid a $10,000 fine.

In 2001, Irvin was once again arrested on charges of cocaine possession, this time with a woman. The charges against him in this case were eventually dropped.

Antonio Brown calls out Michael Irvin for his cocaine issue

In December 2023, Irvin highlighted his Mt. Rushmore of WRs in the NFL but did not include Antonio Brown. This sent Brown on a tirade against Irvin over several posts on X.

"Michael Irvin stay off the cocaine I got way more stats then you f****t you from Broward not Miami we slap the s**t your old a**. Merry chrisma PlayerHater.”

Brown also detailed the 1996 arrest of Irvin for younger fans of the game, who might not have known about this aspect of Irvin’s life.
