Ravens' Marlon Humphrey slams Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles' "disgusting" move for Rebeca Andrade winning gold

Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles showed good sportsmanship toward Rebeca Andrade after the Brazilian won the gold medal in floor exercise at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humprey wasn't a fan.

The floor is Biles' greatest strength, and this was the first time since 2015 that she failed to win the gold medal in this exercise. Andrade, who was defeated by Biles during the all-around final, got revenge and won her first Olympic gold medal in 2024 after two silvers and one bronze.

As Biles and Chiles bowed down to Andrade in a show of respect and admiration, Humphrey, for unknown reasons, tweeted that the gesture was "disgusting":

"This is literally disgusting," he wrote on X.

The backlash was massive, especially from Brazilian fans. The rivalry between Simone Biles and Rebeca Andrade is one of the greatest stories in the world of artistic gymnastics, and the reaction from the cornerback created some unwanted controversy.

How has Simone Biles fared in the 2024 Summer Olympics?

The legendary American added three gold medals to her cabinet with a fantastic summer. She won the gold medal with Team USA, defeated Andrade at her best exercise (Vault) and also beat the Brazilian in the all-around race. However, she couldn't muster a fourth gold medal in the floor exercise and had to settle for a silver.

Andrade and Biles' rivalry goes back a long time, but they have tremendous respect for one another. Biles even said that she was "tired of competing against Rebeca", even though she holds a big advantage over her greatest rival.
