Ravens' Tre'Davious White reflects on playing with MVP contenders Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson
Tre'Davious White, 29, is entering a stage of his career where there's still time left, but it's also time to take stock and reflect. The cornerback has had the privilege of playing on a team with Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Matthew Stafford in his time with the Bills, Ravens and Rams.
On Wednesday's episode of "Punch Line Podcast," White reflected on playing with all three quarterbacks, focusing on Jackson and Allen.
(18:30) "I'm so happy and thankful and blessed to be able to say, 'I played with Josh Allen and Lamar, like, I played with Matthew Stafford.' ... Man, I played with some great quarterbacks," he said.
"The off-the-field thing too, just like what those guys do in the community, like with Lamar and Josh too, and Buffalo. It's the total package. ... Those guys are great. ... Those guys are playing at a historic level, man. So it's great to see."
White has played for the Ravens and Rams this season after spending seven years with the Buffalo Bills. During his time in the league, he had a front-row seat to watch Josh Allen develop from a shaky rookie into one of the NFL's most celebrated players this season.
Tre'Davious White in line for potential playoff game against former quarterback
Tre'Davious White still has a long way to go before he can kick his feet up, and with the playoffs on tap, things are slated to get much more difficult before they get easier. Josh Allen is included in the long list of potential playoff opponents.
The Bills are the No. 2 seed and while the seeding could change, Allen has already clinched the playoffs.
While the Baltimore Ravens technically have not done so just yet, they are on the doorstep. Assuming they complete the task, it would put them in a scramble with the Bills. Depending on how the playoffs shake out, the Bills and Ravens could find themselves in a win-or-go-home battle in January.
The Ravens are slated to face the Houston Texans and the Bills are slated to face the Los Angeles Chargers, so it would take things going a certain way in January for the two to meet. If both teams win long enough, however, a matchup is inevitable. Will Tre'Davious White get the chance to intercept Allen?
