"Really, really good human being": Logan Ryan recounts Tom Brady’s special gesture after Patriots' historic loss

Tom Brady's final game with the New England Patriots was a story by itself. After decades of dominance, Brady lost in the Wild Card round of the 2019–2020 playoffs.

Many players would have lost their cool in that moment and despised their opponents forever. However, according to Logan Ryan, Brady did not. Instead, he congratulated Ryan himself.

"He DM’d me after the game, he actually congratulated me. (He) said, ‘Man, heck of a play. You guys are having a heck of a season. Go win it all, and I love you’… That's Tom Brady to a core," Ryan said on the Ross Tucker Podcast (19:43 – 20:12).

Ryan added that Brady signed the interception ball he threw to the Titans defender during the game.

"Just a really, really good human being. ... We ended up being teammates in Tampa together. So, I ended up playing with him again, got him to sign the ball. He actually signed it," he added.

While plenty of stories have made their way around the league about the quarterback smashing tablets in frustration, he didn't take it out on his opponents in one of the biggest losses of his career.

Tom Brady's final game with the New England Patriots was the Wild Card round of the playoffs in the 2019 season against the Tennessee Titans. The Patriots were favored, as they usually were with Brady at the helm.

However, the Titans won the contest 20-13. Brady faced former division rival Ryan Tannehill. However, it wasn't the offenses that prevailed.

Brady's team started slow, scoring just three points in the first quarter. By halftime, the Patriots trailed the Titans 14–13. Little did fans know that Brady had already scored the last points of his career with the Patriots.

The Titans shut out Bill Belichick's team and scored an insurance touchdown near the end of the game. Not long after that, Brady left the team to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won one more Super Bowl before retiring after the 2022 season.
