Why Gisele Bundchen took Joaquin Valente To Costa Rica amid divorce turmoil with Tom Brady
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen shocked the world by ending their 14-year marriage earlier this month.
The couple's marital troubles first surfaced when Brady took an 11-day hiatus from the Buccaneers' training camp to spend time with his family. Things quickly escalated as rumors started to swirl about Bundchen's apparent displeasure with Brady's decision to unretire and return for his 23rd NFL season.
After months of speculation, Brady and Bundchen broke their silence and announced their separation on social media. The former supermodel has since been spotted with her and Brady's kids in Miami and Costa Rica.
But on her most recent trip to the South American nation, Bundchen was spotted with Miami-based jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquin Valente, sparking rumors that she had moved on from the quarterback and had begun dating.
But what is the truth?
Why Joaquin Valente traveled to Costa Rica with Brady's ex-wife Gisele Bundchen
Per TMZ, one of the reasons Joaquin Valente has accompanied Gisele Bundchen to Costa Rica is to train the former supermodel and her kids, Benjamin and Vivian.
The jiu-jitsu coach is not the only one who has traveled to Costa along with Bundchen and her kids. The contingent also includes a full-time teacher who travels whenever the kids do to ensure their education isn't compromised.
Is Gisele Bundchen really dating Joaquin Valente?
Per TMZ, sources close to Bundchen insist that Joaquin Valente is in Costa Rica only to train Bundchen and her kids.
It's unclear if he's romantically involved with Bundchen, and currently, there's no official word as to whether the former supermodel has moved on from Tom Brady.
Are Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's kids homeschooled?
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's kids, Benjamin and Vivian, are homeschooled. In an interview with British Vogue, Bundchen explained that she decided to homeschool her children after the couple moved from Boston to Tampa in 2019 after Brady left the New England Patriots and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She said:
“When my husband decided he was going to play another year, I didn’t want to put them in a school, because it takes a lot to adapt to a new town. They left all their friends in Boston, and just look at what the world was going through. I needed to create a soft landing.”
Bundchen designed her kids' curriculum, explaining why a teacher and a jiu-jitsu trainer travel with her and the couple's kids to Costa Rica.
