Ricky Pearsall's girlfriend hyped after 49ers' WR scores first TD after getting shot
Ricky Pearsall's comeback on the gridiron has been extraordinary. On Sunday Night Football, the WR scored the first touchdown of his NFL career, just two months after he was shot in the chest in downtown San Francisco during an alleged robbery attempt.
Pearsall's college sweetheart, Tori Moraga, was over the moon. She praised her boyfriend on her Instagram story as his score helped push the 49ers to an early lead over the Buccaneers.
"My man, my man, my man," she captioned her IG story, reposting a picture of Ricky Pearsall's 46-yard TD catch-and-run.
Moraga, a former Florida Gators cheerleader, met Pearsall while both studied at the University of Florida.
Since Pearsall entered the NCAA transfer portal in 2021 and transferred from Arizona State to Florida in 2022, it is safe to assume, Moraga has been by the NFL rookie WR's side for two years. Certainly, she has witnessed Pearsall's foray into the NFL and understands what it takes to come back on the field after the traumatic incident.
On Oct. 21, Moraga appeared at the 49ers versus Chiefs game to support her boyfriend after Persall was activated from the "Reserve/Non-Football Injury List."
Ricky Pearsall and Tori Moraga went public with their relationship at a crucial time
Ricky Pearsall and Tori Moraga went Instagram official on Sept. 8, Pearsall's 24th birthday, which was eight days after the 49ers WR was shot in the chest.
Alongside posting a series of mushy pictures on IG post, Morga wrote:
"A special Happy Birthday to my heart! Thank you for growing with me and choosing me every day. You are a force and a bright light that I’m fortunate enough to see shine every day. I am so thankful to know you and love you. Lucky to have a built-in best friend to share this life with! Another year blessed by the lord, More life amor."
To which, the NFL rookie replied writing, "Thank you for always sticking by me!
That said, Moraga was also present with Pearsall on Apr. 25, while the 49ers picked Pearsall in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.
