Rob Gronkowski claims Bill Belichick broke his trifecta principle by dating 24-year-old Jordon Hudson - "He's all caught up with girls"
Rob Gronkowski weighed in on Bill Belichick's love life after it emerged that the 72-year-old coach is dating 24-year-old Jordon Hudson. It's quite a significant age gap, and many have reacted to it, but the former tight end provided some insight as a former Patriots player that others could not.
Sitting down with Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski wanted to revisit a rule known as the "trifecta" that coach Bill Belichick told his players to avoid. It was a list of three things he told the players to not get caught up in, and the tight end asked his former teammate and current host to list them.
As it turned out, the three advisories were against alcohol, a*sh*les and girls. The first is something the legendary coach reportedly lives by and doesn't drink, as Gronk confirmed. The two former Patriots joked that their former manager could be an a*sh*le sometimes. Gronkowski remarked.
"He always told us there's three things out there that don't get caught up in. Alcohol was one and Coach Belichick did not partake in alcohol I can tell you that. A*sh*le is number two and I would say Coach Belichick did partake in being a*sh*ole sometimes, but not anymore. I love him now."
However, where they really wondered aloud was his instruction about getting involved with girls, now that he's allegedly dating Jordon Hudson. The tight end commented:
"Yeah, girls (the third), girls. Now he's all caught up with the girls."
Eventually, Rob Gronkowski said that because Bill Belichick was not coaching now, maybe the coach could get a pass from the "trifecta". A little joke was also cracked in between about the coach always being accused of being too dour and failing to connect with the younger generation. He concluded:
"Oh wait timeout. He's not coaching anymore though. So that's a pass. He's allowed to be in the trifecta. Watch out. He's gonna be blacked out, hammered every night now."

While these are his first direct comments on the matter, Rob Gronkowski has previously trolled Bill Belichick for his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson. During Tom Brady's roast on Netflix, he had said:
“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we s**ked. But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.”
At that time, the innuendo was not clear, as the alleged relationship was not fully out in the open. Now it is, though.
