Rob Gronkowski compares Buccaneers to his exes in brutally honest reply about teaming up with Tom Brady again

Rob Gronkowski has been sorely missed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense. The franchise, which was considered to be among the Super Bowl favorites this season, has gotten off to a stumbling start.

With a 4-5 record, the Buccaneers somehow still lead their division, but cracks have shown in the team so far. Their lead is tenuous, as they are tied with the Atlanta Falcons. While the team's otherwise Top-10 defense has been accused of giving up big plays, the offense too has struggled to get going on multiple occasions.

Should Tom Brady have stayed retired like Gronk?

So are the Buccaneers missing Gronkowski? Rob Gronkowski provided his take on the matter. During his appearance on Fox Sports' NFL Sunday, the tight end was asked whether or not his former team's offense was missing his presence. To which the future Hall of Famer hilariously went on to say:

"It depends on how you define miss me... My ex-girlfriends miss me. Actually, I have no clue. That's a guess."

With that being said, Gronkowski said that he definitely likes the idea that Tom Brady could use his old teammate back on his side. Together, the two have combined for over 90 touchdown passes over the years. That includes two in their most recent Super Bowl success.

Rob Gronkowski roasts Jets star Zach Wilson over recent dating drama

Rob Gronkowski has never been afraid to say what he wants on live television. So it comes as no surprise that he took a cheeky dig at New York Jets star Zach Wilson over the salacious offseason rumors that surrounded him.

During a segment on the show, the hosts gave Gronkowski situations where he had to say if the glass was half-empty or half-full. When asked about the Jets' success, the former Patriots star said that it was half-full. He then proceeded to roast Wilson, saying the following:

"I'm going to go half-full, as long as they can get their qb's head in the playbook instead of outside at parent-teacher conferences."

The comment was a direct dig regarding rumors started by ex-girlfriend, Abbey Gile, who hinted that Wilson was having an affair with his mother's best friend.

The Jets have gotten off to an impressive 6-3 start under head coach Robert Saleh. The team went on to silence the doubters as well by beating the heavily favored Buffalo Bills at Metlife Stadium this past Sunday. It seems it will take a lot more than a win against Buffalo to silence Rob Gronkowski.

Could this be the year the Jets finally go all the way to the Super Bowl again? Over halfway through the season, it'd be a mistake to count this team out of the Lombardi equation just yet.
