Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman troll Tom Brady about former teammate's Fox gig

Tom Brady will always be known as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. His teammates though, recently got some jabs in on his new role as a broadcaster for FOX Sports.

On this week's episode of the "Dudes on Dudes" podcast, Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski joked about their former teammates who are now in media roles.

Gronk said that what makes Tom Brady want to be the best is when people doubt him, so he provided some motivation for Brady:

"Tom, you suck, bro, you suck, man. Yeah, but let me tell you, he's gonna make me pay for that, he's gonna show me up now. He didn't suck though. I just wanted to say that, he didn't suck. He was really good, very knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to be around the most knowledgeable coach of all time, and most knowledgeable player of all time."

He also backpedaled a bit so Brady wouldn't be tempted to get revenge on him.

Edelman on the other hand believed that Brady performs better when he's mad so he decided to continue the insults:

"But we all know Tom plays better pissed off. So yeah, Tom you sucked."

Both Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski have also embarked on media careers after their NFL playing days. Both now work for FOX Sports on the "NFL Sunday Kickoff Show."

Tom Brady disputed rumors that he isn't involved in FOX broadcast

Tom Brady started his broadcast career with FOX this season after signing a ten-year deal worth $375 million. He was also officially approved as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders last week, with a 5% share of the team.

There have been rumors that Tom Brady is restricted in what he can say and do as a broadcaster since he is an NFL owner. Which would include not attending production meetings and visiting team facilities.

On this week's episode of the "Let's Go" podcast, Brady told co-host Jim Gray that he isn't limited to what he can do with FOX and that nothing else will get in the way of his job requirements.

Brady said:

“The good part is, I’m involved in Fox. I love doing what I’m doing in broadcasting. Nothing is going to get in the way of that for a long time. But I’m really happy to be involved with Mark and that organization.”

Tom Brady also expressed his excitement to work with Las Vegas Raiders majority owner Mark Davis and be involved in the organization.
