The beloved personality has always been a funny guy who enjoys making others happy. This was another instance where he appreciated those in need over the Christmas season, and it was a truly wonderful gesture from him.

The former player announced his retirement from the NFL for the second time after playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. He has frequently joked about returning to the NFL, but no information supporting his return has been confirmed, leaving fans speculating.

I’ve been waiting for this call. Let’s do this @FanDuel https://t.co/I5i2whjcO7

As stated earlier, Gronkowski has hinted multiple times at a return to the NFL, and he did the same this past week. He made a tweet in which he said, "I’m kinda bored," having fans assume that he is eyeing a move back to the league.

I’m kinda bored 😐…

A couple of teams also reached out to him following that tweet, but the former Patriots TE is still unsure about his future in the league.

“One of the teams that talked Gronk about coming back said If u come back, you could be number 69 and check in eligible every play, where the referee would have to go over the microphone and say, ‘number 69 is eligible’ every single play”

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would welcome Gronkowski's return for the playoffs. They have been having offensive struggles since they were unable to replace him when he retired.

The Buccaneers may be a dangerous club in the playoffs, and if the retired tight end decides to play for them, they could very well surprise some people. He also contacted Bucs head coach Todd Bowles about a possible comeback, but nothing came of it.

Despite his aging, as time goes by, everyone is keeping a close eye on the former tight end's status in the NFL.
