Robert F. Kennedy Jr breaks 4-month-long silence on Aaron Rodgers VP chase

Robert F. Kennedy and Aaron Rodgers have huge mutual respect for each other and that was apparent as the presidential candidate talked about the Jets quarterback on the "Bussin' With The Boys" podcast. The politician admitted that he asked the footballer if he would be willing to join him on his ticket and be the Vice Presidential nominee before he settled on Nicole Shanahan.

But going back to why he considered the quarterback in the first place, Robert F. Kennedy said that he had tremendous respect for Aaron Rodgers because of his courage and commitment.

According to the presidential aspirant, the Jets star is someone who thinks about politics all the time and does so critically. The independent candidate then said how much he enjoys talking to the former Packers legend and how he is curious and skeptical of authority.

Robert F. Kennedy commented (Start at 1:34:21),

"Yeah, I talked to him about it, I asked him, ‘Would he do it?’ I really love Aaron Rodgers. I think he's got tremendous courage and he's committed. He's a guy who does critical thinking and he's somebody who; you guys don't think a lot about politics, he's thinking about it all the time. He's skeptical of authority and he has a very interesting mind. He's fascinating to talk to and I think he’s curious about everything."

Aaron Rodgers believes election skewed against Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Aaron Rodgers certainly thinks highly of Robert Kennedy Jr. too and earlier this month, he went to speak with "Pardon My Take" and had some interesting observations about how CNN did not allow the independent Presidential candidate to take to the debate stage and limited it to the then-Democratic and Republican nominees. The quarterback said, (Start at 1:39:38)

“Politics, I’ve said from the beginning, it’s an absolute sham. If we’ve seen anything, whether its about what they did to Bernie Sanders in 2016 or the Podesta emails or the fact that nothing ever changes."

Aaron Rodgers was also furious that Robert F. Kennedy was not given a chance to make his case directly against Joe Biden or Donald Trump, remarking, (1:01:20)

“We have a guy who’s been – whether rightly or wrongly at kangaroo court or whatever – been indicted on felonies, and a guy who shit in his pants. And then we have Bobby, they don’t give him a chance to be in debates."

Whether it's A-Rod talking about RFK Jr. or vice versa, it's clear that they each think of the other very highly.
