“I’m ready to rock and roll” – Russell Wilson issues rallying call after clearing concussion protocol ahead of Broncos’ Week 16 matchup vs Rams

Russell Wilson has had a poor season thus far, but in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs, he seemed to turn a corner. However, once the offense started to hit a new groove, it was dealt a new setback when Wilson suffered a concussion.

After missing last week's game against the Arizona Cardinals, the Broncos quarterback looks to be ready to play against the Los Angeles Rams. According to the Denver Post, head coach Nathaniel Hackett said the quarterback was a "full go."

Russell Wilson also spoke about his availability:

“I feel great. Super aware, the medical team here did a great job to [to get me to] be able to heal quickly and get back on the field and be able to practice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday [last week], I was ready to roll. But to get an extra week and let those guys get in there, Brett [Rypien] did a great job stepping up and stepping in. I’m ready to rock and roll.”

Initially, it looked to be one of Denver's biggest losses of the season. Down 27-0 against the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs, fans felt as tempted as ever to change the channel. But that was before the offense started to click in a way they hadn't all season long.

Jerry Jeudy caught three touchdown passes from Wilson after the defense forced three interceptions from Patrick Mahomes. Wilson's concussion forced him out of the rest of the contest. Even with him missing the final minutes, it was the most touchdown passes he had produced all season long.

Taking into account backup quarterback Brett Rypien's production, the team threw for four touchdowns and two interceptions. Now facing another 4-10 team in the Los Angeles Rams, the Broncos are hoping to prove their offensive explosion was more than a mirage.
