Russell Wilson reveals why teammate yelled at him during brutal loss vs. Panthers

During the Denver Broncos' loss to the Carolina Panthers, Russell Wilson was seen being yelled at by teammate Mike Purcell. The Broncos offense played poorly and the defensive lineman was upset with his quarterback.

The Panthers won the game 23-10 and Wilson once again didn't play well. Frustration is rising in Denver, and Purcell's actions showed that.

After the game, Russell Wilson cleared the air on the incident with Mike Purcell. In the post-game press conference, Wilson claimed all was well between the pair.

Speaking about the altercation with Mike Purcell, Wilson said:

"Mike and I are on the same page, you know, we, he came off, you know, after they kicked the field goal and he was he was p*ssed off, he was just sad."

With this loss, the Denver Broncos are now 3-8 and dead last in the AFC West. They were predicted to be Super Bowl contenders at the start of the season, but not much has gone their way so far.

They are the worst-ranked offense in the league and the acquisition of Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks has been a big failure. Moreover, they will be without a first-round pick in next year's draft.

Russell Wilson has been subpar this season

Russell Wilson has a passer rating of 82.3 for 2,369 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions in 10 games this season. The Broncos have a league-worst 14.3 PPG, which largely summarizes the gravity of their downfall.

Their defense has played extremely well throughout the season, but Wilson hasn't been able to capitalize on opportunities. Even with the loaded offense they have, which includes the likes of Courtland Sutton and Javonte Williams, Denver hasn't been able to rack up points. Everyone on the team is frustrated and head coach Nathaniel Hackett is in the hot seat.

2023 = $107 million
2024 = $85 million
2025 = $49.6 million
2026 = $31.2 million

Buckle up, Broncos Country!

At this pace, it seems unlikely that Hackett will return next season as Denver's head coach.

They are up against the Baltimore Ravens next week, and it could be a blowout.
