Russell Wilson's wife Ciara takes polar opposite political stance as Patrick Mahomes' mom in anti-MAGA message
Russell Wilson's wife, singer Ciara, took to social media on Tuesday morning to share her thoughts on Election Day. The highly contested and debated Presidential Election is one of the most important in the history of the United States.
In her first post, Ciara reshared a message on her Instagram story that clearly showed her opposition to Donald Trump. The post featured an emoji of the red MAGA hat, widely associated with Trump's supporters, signaling her vote against the former president.
Ciara's second post featured Michelle Obama, the former First Lady of the United States, encouraging people to vote. In her message, Obama specifically urged women to protect their rights and head to the polls.
Despite her active political engagement, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback tends to keep his political views private and does not typically share his opinions on social media.
Patrick Mahomes' mother Randi, takes the opposite approach of Ciara
While Ciara has publicly voiced her support for the Democratic nominee in the 2024 election, Patrick Mahomes' mother, Randi Mahomes, took a different approach. Randi was in attendance for the "Monday Night Football" primetime showdown, where her son's Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In a video that has circulated widely on social media, Randi Mahomes was seen sitting in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium, wearing a red Kansas City Chiefs sweatshirt and a red hat that read "Make America Great Again." She then voiced her support for the slogan, saying:
"Make America Great Again, go do it," Randi Mahomes said in the video.
The video was originally shared by Outkick and was not posted by Randi Mahomes on her social media accounts. This isn't the first time the Mahomes family has been linked to the Republican party. The quarterback's wife, Brittany Mahomes, liked a post from the Trump campaign on Instagram, which outlined their policies and goals.
However, after facing backlash for backing a candidate who has expressed racist and misogynistic viewpoints, Brittany Mahomes deleted the like. While Randi Mahomes and her family have shown political leanings, Patrick Mahomes has remained neutral on political matters.
