Russell Wilson shows off 'Grinch' edition Kobe Bryant Nike cleats

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson was friends with late NBA great Kobe Bryant, and he continues to honor him in various ways. This holiday season, he is doing so with a pair of special "Grinch" cleats.

On Tuesday night, Wilson shared a video on his Instagram Story showing off a "Grinch" green box with the Mamba logo. The gift tag had the quarterback's name on it. In another clip, he unboxed the special edition shoes, which are green and yellow. The cleats also feature the black Nike Swoosh and Bryant's autograph on the back.

The "Nice Kicks" account on X showed additional photos of the "Grinch" Nike Vapor Edge Kobe 6 cleats that were officially launched by Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa.

Wilson's teammate, Patrick Queen, repped the Grinch cleats in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Atlanta Falcons' Bijan Robinson and Bengals star Ja'Marr Chase also wore the signature cleats this past weekend. Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II wore the cleats on Tuesday as well.

Russell Wilson reps Kobe Bryant as his stepson reps George Pickens

Russell Wilson's wife Ciara and their four children always show support for the quarterback each week. However, the quarterback isn't his children's only favorite player on the Steelers.

This past weekend, in a since expired Instagram Story, Ciara shared a photo of her ten-year-old son, Future, wearing George Pickens' #14 Pittsburgh Steelers jersey which he paired with the signature black head and face mask that Pickens wears. He also added a fanny pack/hand warmer to the look.

This wasn't the first time that Future wore a George Pickens jersey at a Steelers game. Earlier last month he wore the same jersey after Pittsburgh defeated the Baltimore Ravens, with Pickens resharing the photo to show his appreciation:

Pickens has become one of Wilson's favorite targets on the field, especially for deep passes. Their connection on the field has been crucial in the Steelers staying atop the AFC North division rankings and making a playoff push down the stretch.
