Shannon Sharpe blasts Dak Prescott for throwing interception after interception ahead of Eagles matchup

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has copped his fair share of heat as his interception tally continues to grow with each passing week. After another multiple interception game against the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday (his fourth of the year), many are questioning how far Dallas can continue with Dak at the helm.

What are the Cowboys Super Bowl odds?

Hall of Famer and co-host of Fox Sports' Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe weighed in on Prescott and his interception total. Sharpe stated that it is going to be hard for the Cowboys to consistently win and go on a deep playoff run while Prescott is throwing interceptions as his current rate.

Sharpe said:

"What do you think the likelihood of them winning a lot of games if he has the highest touchdown to interception [ratio]? I don't think it's very good. So Jerry Jones is trying to sell us a bill of goods. He don't want to mention, I believe, what I see or what Jerry Jones is telling me.
"I'm a firm believer ... my grandpa used to tell my brother this all the time skill. 'I see better than I hear.' Now, I told y'all to take that treasure. You told me he was gonna do it. But I look over there in the corner, and I still see trash."
“The Cowboys defense is starting to slip and they can’t overcome Dak’s bad play like they once could.” — @ShannonSharpe https://t.co/tKm7L85l65

Sharpe added:

"So I see better than I hear. I hear what Jerry's telling me. But I know what I saw. I know what you saw against Green Bay. You know what you saw last week? So no, I did not believe that they can win a lot of games with Dak Prescott playing like he's playing because you know why? Your defenses are starting to slip. So they can't overcome his bad play like they want could."

This seems to be the big sticking point with Cowboys fans. Dak Prescott is good, but is he good enough to take this team to a Super Bowl? That answer is yes, but a lot of things need to go right. Less interceptions is a start.

Sitting at 10-4, Dallas has already secured its playoff berth, so now attention turns to fine tuning both sides of the ball ahead of what looks like a showdown with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.

With three games to go, the Cowboys can get to work on ironing out some deficiencies in their game.

Dak Prescott has shown that, when firing on all cylinders, he can be a top 10 quarterback, he just has to stop with the turnovers.
