Shannon Sharpe left disgusted by fan’s question
Shannon Sharpe is never afraid to speak his mind when it comes to any topic, including food. On Twitter, a fan wanted to know if the Pro Football Hall of Famer liked their food of choice: hot dogs inside a hard taco shell.
Needless to say, the co-host of the Fox Sports 1 show "Undisputed" wasn't a fan of the meal. In response, Sharpe used multiple puking emojis and asked "WTF IS THAT" to the delicacy in question.
When it comes to what the former Denver Broncos star eats, hot dogs inside a hard taco shell aren't on the menu. In an interview with GQ, Shannon Sharpe explained in detail what he eats on a typical day. Sharpe said:
"Breakfast varies: egg whites, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. My lunch is usually some grilled chicken, bison meatballs, brown rice, and steamed vegetables. Dinner would look something like turkey, pork, a salad or steamed vegetables—typically broccoli."
The eight-time Pro Bowler turned sports personality not only watches what he eats. He does a workout that isn't for the faint of heart.
Shannon Sharpe's workout regime
The four-time All-Pro still looks as though he could come out of retirement and play in the NFL at age 54. While Sharpe's playing days are over, his workout routine has stayed intense, and he regularly shares a look at his training via YouTube videos and social media fitness challenges.
In a YouTube video doing a CrossFit-inspired workout from his home gym during quarantine in 2020, he explained the exercise and the experience. Sharpe said:
"When I'm done with this exercise, I'm not gonna say, 'Man I wish I could have done five more reps, or I could've done this. If you can do that, you didn't work hard enough. You should empty the tank... You should feel like you ate your lungs, your heart is just pounding through your chest."
He shows off his home gym setup, which is out on his driveway. The setup includes an air bike, a rowing machine, several dumbbells, medicine balls, kettlebells, and mats. In all, the workout lasts for 40 minutes. Without question, Shannon Sharpe brings the same intensity to his workout that he does with his commentary on "Undisputed."
