Aaron Rodgers takes yet another dig at his Packers teammates

All is not well for Aaron Rodgers and his Green Bay Packers. After losing three of their last four games, the Packers are facing criticism from every angle.

Having lost only three games in an entire season for the last three years, Green Bay has lost four through seven games in 2022. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers feels that his team are making too many mental mistakes and that it is perhaps time to give the players who have been on the sidelines their chance.

The 38-year-old was speaking on The Pat McAfee Show and stated that maybe the time has come to make some personnel changes.

Rodgers said:

"Guys who are making too many mistakes, shouldn't be playing. Gotta start cutting some reps. Maybe guys who aren't playing, maybe give them a chance."
"We had too many mental mistakes & errors on Sunday.. it seems like we have double digit mistakes every week"

Without Davante Adams, who now calls Las Vegas home, Green Bay and its receivers are struggling. This is partly due to their inexperience, but as Rodgers says, they are making too many mental errors, something that he and the team are not used to happening.

As mentioned above, the Packers are not used to being in this spot. The last three seasons (2019, 2020, 2021) Green Bay has lost three games this year. They have lost four already.

With young receivers in Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Samori Toure and Amari Rodgers, there is some serious growing pains going on. Allen Lazard hasn't been able to hit the heights of a number one receiver just yet and the Packers offense is struggling.

It doesn't get any easier either. They travel to face Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football in what will be another huge test. They will then face the Detroit Lions, followed by the Dallas Cowboys, Titans and Eagles.

It is a crucial four-week stretch that could make or break their 2022 season. At the start of the year, some were bullish on Green Bay's chances of making the playoffs. But at the time of writing, making it is in serious doubt.

With number 12 under center, there is a hope that things will get figured out. That have to, right? But there is only so much he can do. It is also up to his young receivers to make plays and stop the mental mistakes.

If they don't, the Packers will be out of playoff contention in a matter of weeks.
