"Shut up. You’re an idiot" - J.J. Watt's message to haters debating Tom Brady's GOAT status

Two of the NFL's greatest players retired this off-season in Tom Brady and J.J. Watt.

Watt called it a career at 33 after 12 seasons in the NFL, while Brady stepped away from the game at age 45, having played for 23 seasons.

Watt recently joined Fox Radio with Dan Patrick and the two spoke about a number of topics, including fatherhood, his injuries throughout his career, his plans for retirement, and his feelings about Tom Brady.

Watt thinks that Brady will be selected for the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility while also saying that he's easily the GOAT.

Watt said:

"I think it’s cool to be retiring at the same time as the greatest of all time. I think he’s got a shot, he might sneak in there [2028 Hall of Fame] first time? He’s got some accolades. He [Aaron Rodgers] will also make it, I think he’s gonna make it too.
"Oh, bottom [Bottom of the totem pole]. You gotta have a ring. I don’t have one. Those guys both got ‘em. I mean, Tom has more rings than any team in the NFL. It’s literally insane. Like, anybody tries to argue. My tweet to him after his retirement was like ‘greatest of all time, no debates no argument’ and people tried to argue. Shut up, no! You’re an idiot," added JJ Watt.

Brady retired with seven Super Bowl crowns, the most passing yards, completions, touchdowns, and wins by a QB in NFL history. He also has five Super Bowl MVP awards and three league MVPs.

Watt retired as a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, and has the most 20+ sacks seasons in NFL history while leading the league in sacks twice. He is a seven-time All-Pro with five Pro Bowls and 114.5 career sacks.

The two could become golf buddies as Watt invited Brady to join his retired golfing group.

"Greatest of All Time. No question, no debate. It’s been an honor and a privilege. PS - The newly retired group meets on the golf course every morning at 10am. Drinks are on the new guy, so bring your wallet."
