Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens beams with pride as gymnast bags 'another gold' at Paris Olympics
Jonathan Owens was one proud husband and he watched his wife, Simone Biles, create even more history at the Paris Olympics and establish herself as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time. Having won gold medals once again, she has made the sublime look easy.
The NFL player, who is in Paris right now to follow her exploits, could not help but post about her achievements as he witnessed them. On his Instagram stories, he posted a video with the caption:
"Another Gold"
And in a still photo of Simone Biles that noted that she has won six Olympic gold medals, Jonathan Owens saluted her:
"The greatest"
Jonathan Owens hearts Simone Biles even as NFL training camp begins
Jonathan Owens is going to incredible lengths to support Simone Biles as she creates history in the Paris Olympics. The Chicago Bears safety is with a new team this year and needs to get all the reps he can during the ongoing training camp, which is currently in progress. But even in the few days he is getting off, he wants to be with his wife and show his faith in her.
He jetted off to Paris from training camp and rocked up to the finals of the women's team gymnastics event wearing a custom-made t-shirt. It was picture of Simone Biles performing many of her amazing routines in a collage with her name written atop.
Bears head coach Matt Eberflus has given Jonathan Owens special dispensation to miss practice so that he can be there in person during the Olympics to support Simone Biles. He said,
“Just because we respect the Olympics. That is a big deal. And he’s just supporting the one he loves the most. And I think that’s so cool that he gets to do that... We welcome that and it’s going to be awesome. Go USA.”
The footballer will end up missing seven practices but seems more than happy to be there in Paris. He even photoshopped a picture of his wife's historic performances in the background of his visit to the Louvre, implying that her greatness and artistry belong in the famed museum.
While the Bears coach has given his compassionate leave to miss training camp, Eberflus will be hoping some of Simone Biles' greatness rubs off on Jonathan Owens as well when he returns for the 2024 NFL season.
