Simone Biles' Paris Olympics debut leaves 49ers star George Kittle's wife Claire impressed
Simone Biles has left everyone impressed with her Paris Olympics debut. Fighting through a calf injury, the four-time Olympic gold medalist left a mark with her performance.
Biles suffered the injury during Team USA's second rotation, worrying fans and well-wishers about her and the team's performance. However, Biles, along with Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee and Hezly Rivera made sure to lead the US into the qualifying round.
Though qualifiers continue, one can't deny Biles' determination. Claire Kittle — married to San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle — made sure to highlight Biles' effort.
Claire shared a photo from Biles' performance, impressed with the ace gymnast and her leotards.
"Her & these leos are everythinggggg. [Simone Biles]," Claire Kittle wrote on Instagram.
Of course, Kittle wasn't the only one impressed with Biles' performance. Chellsie Memmel, USA Gymnastics' technical lead, referred to the veteran star as 'outstanding' and 'great'.
“That’s how she trains. I mean, she comes out and she comes into the gym and she does her job. She did that at podium (training). She just did it again here. So she’s fun to watch," Memmel told reporters after the event ended.
Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens will miss a few days of NFL training camp for Paris Olympics
One of the most successful athletes in the world, Biles is married to Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. The NFL player has made sure to support Biles at all stops, hyping his wife at every turn during the Olympics and the prep before.
However, the Bears will be hosting their training camp while Biles stays in France. The NFL, on their end, has granted Owens a few days off to go support Biles. Owens has been cheering for Biles from the Bears' camp.
With Owens flying to Paris soon, one can expect more updates about Biles from the Olympic Village.
