It's Chicago Bears star Jonathan Owens' birthday, and his wife, Simone Biles, has sent him wishes from afar. Biles is in the Olympic Village preparing for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. But the distance didn't stop her from sending a heartwarming birthday note to her husband.
Simone Biles took to her Instagram to share an adorable note, wishing the Bears star a happy 29th birthday. In the birthday message, Biles noted a desire to celebrate the special day with Owens and hoped to see her husband soon.
"Happy happy birthday to my husband, best friend, confidant and party goer thanks for being the calm to my storm! i love you with all my heart and I can’t wait to see what this year brings! let’s do it big baby wish I was there to celebrate you, but I’ll see you soon!!! XO," Biles wrote.
Biles shared pictures from a photoshoot with her husband. In the snapshots, the couple are matching in white outfits. While Biles flaunts a short button-down dress, Jonathan pairs white shorts and a shirt with off-white sneakers.
Biles and Jonathan Owens have been married for a year after dating for about two years starting in 2020. Since it's Owens' first Olympics with his wife, he would want to be present in Paris to show his support. The Chicago Bears made sure that Owens didn't miss the special time with his wife.
Chicago Bears granted special leave to Jonathan Owens to attend Olympics 2024
The Chicago Bears have granted special leave to safety Jonathan Owens, allowing him to travel to Paris to support his wife, Simone Biles, who'll be representing USA's gymnastics team. Owens is noted to miss Bears practice camp from July 29 to August 3, with August 4 being the expected reporting date.
"Just because we respect the Olympics. That is a big deal. And he's just supporting the one he loves the most. And I think that's so cool that he gets to do that. We welcome that, and it's going to be awesome. Go USA," Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said in his statement about Owens' absence via ESPN.
Biles is considered one of the greatest gymnasts in the history of the USA. The two-time Olympian with four gold medals will compete in the balance beam, uneven bars, vault and all-around events at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Nevertheless, Biles' husband will be cheering her on from the stands.
