"Product of Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre" - Skip Bayless labels Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy a ‘fraud’

FOX's 'Undisputed' co-host Skip Bayless is a self-proclaimed diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, but he is not a fan of head coach Mike McCarthy. On Friday morning, Bayless said that he is tired of McCarthy continuing to call out former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

The latter was let go of his coaching duties after the conclusion of the season and was immediately hired by the Los Angeles Chargers.

After Moore was dismissed, the Cowboys announced that the head coach would call the offensive plays. But this week at the NFL Combine, he has continued to talk about the mistakes that Moore made while calling plays.

Bayless said that he has had enough of McCarthy, constantly stating how great and smart he is as a head coach. The analyst also said that the only success he has had as a coach came because of quarterbacks Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers during his tenure with Green Bay.

"OK, I'm going to say this one more time about Mike McCarthy. Please drop the mic Mike McCarthy, please quit talking Mike McCarthy. He can't help himself because he constantly has to tell you how smart he is, or at least was in Green Bay. And, I believe he's a fraudulent head coach who is nothing but a product of Brett Favre and then, Aaron Rodgers."

Bayless went as far as to call him a 'fraudulent head coach', and to say that Dallas Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones only hired him because he has a Super Bowl ring.

He added that Jones is looking to get the Cowboys back to another championship. Whether Mike McCarthy calling the offensive plays gets the Cowboys back to postseason success remains to be seen.

What did Mike McCarthy say about Kellen Moore?

Dallas Cowboys head coach is being called out by many fans and NFL analysts for his recent comments about former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. So, what did the Cowboys head coach actually say about Moore?

Mike McCarthy: Kellen Moore wants to light the scoreboard up, I want to run the damn ball. wp.me/pbBqYq-cxUk

As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys head coach said that Moore wanted to 'light the scoreboard up' and didn't run the ball enough. McCarthy added that he wanted to rest the defense more and running the ball would have taken more time off the clock, unlike what the pass-heavy offense did.

"Kellen wants to light the scoreboard up. But I want him to run the damn ball so I can rest my defense."

He then said that as a head coach who calls plays, a person is more 'in tune' with what is going on compared to a coordinator. Thus, the head coach was, essentially, taking another shot at Kellen Moore's job performance.

In fact, McCarthy went as far as to say that he doesn't need the Cowboys to be the number one offense in the NFL but the one with the most wins and a title.

"I think when you're a coordinator, you know, but you're in charge of the offense. Being a head coach and being a play caller, you're a little more in tune with everything. I don't desire to be the No. 1 offense in the league. I want to be the No. 1 team in the league with the number of wins and a championship. And if we've got to give up some production and take care of the ball a little better to get that, then that's what we'll do because we have a really good defense."

He finished by saying that giving up some offensive production is okay because the defense will make up for it.
