SNL alum names the Super Bowl-winning NFL superstar who would make the perfect host for famed comedy show

Comedian and actor Taran Killam was at Los Angeles International Airport recently and was asked which NFL player would be a great host for 'Saturday Night Live.' The SNL alum himself said that he believes that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce would make a great host. Killam was a member of the Saturday Night LIve cast from 2010 to 2016 and has since done other comedy-based projects.

Killam said that he feels that the NFL’s leading tight end has a great sense of humor and that his charisma would make him an ideal host for the comedy show. In true comedic form, he then joked that Kelce was so good that he 'hates him' and that he feared for his job. Kelce is seen as one of the greatest personalities in the NFL and currently co-hosts a podcast with his brother Jason Kelce called 'New Heights.'

Here's what Killam said:

"Travis Kelce is one of the funniest, coolest dudes and a legend. It's just not fair to be that strong, fast, good, charismatic, handsome and hilarious. I hate him. He's coming for my job."

Killam is a big football fan himself. He is currently hosting his own show on Amazon Prime called "The NFL Pile On". The show is a must for comedy and football fans where Killam does his best to tell some of the biggest stories in the NFL while putting a little laughter to it.

Could Travis Kelce be the best tight end to ever play in the NFL?

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is currently in his tenth NFL season. The 33 year old is less than 100 yards away from having his seventh career 1,000 yard season. Quite a feat for a tight end. He and quarterback Patrick Mahomes' chemistry on the field seems to be getting better every season, if that is even possible.

Is Kelce the best tight end in the league? That could be a definitive yes at this point in the season. The next tight end closest to Kelce at the position is Mark Andrews, who missed a few games due to injury. Andrews has 52 receptions to Kelce's 73 and 601 yards to Kelce's 912. Andrews has five touchdowns compared to Kelce's 12 this season.

Could Kelce be the best tight end ever to play the game? He could be just that. He needs just 82 receiving yards to reach 10,000 in his career. Which would put him fifth all-time with other tight ends.

Another Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Tony Gonzalez, has the most receiving yards (15,127) and receptions (1,325). If Kelce continues to play at the pace in which he is with Mahomes playing at a high level, the tight end could find him at the top of the list with Gonzalez.
