Snoop Dogg gives props to "12th man on the field" Lions DC Aaron Glenn
Snoop Dogg may be a Pittsburgh Steelers super fan, but he's got his eyes on every team in the NFL. The Detroit Lions, which have been performing far superior to all other teams in the league, earned his special praise.
On Monday's edition of the "Let's Go" podcast hosted by Bill Belichick, Maxx Crosby and Jim Gray, the rapper said that Lions coach Dan Campbell was a "dawg" and he had a coaching staff that was full of "dawgs." He then praised defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
"His defensive coordinator is a real dawg," he said. "You could just feel his energy. You can see how they play for him. He feels like he's actually the 12th man on the field." (25:17)
"Whenever they on the offensive side of the ball, you never see the defense panic because the defensive coordinator has his guys ready to go kill at all times. That's what I like about that staff."
The Lions have just lost one game and have the same record as the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
Snoop Dogg expresses gratitude to Tom Brady for not getting roast invite
Netflix's "The Roast of Tom Brady" featured prominent celebrities such as actor Kevin Hart, comedian Andrew Schulz and his former teammates Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, to name a few.
However, one name was not on the list: Snoop Dogg. In the "Let's Go" podcast, with Brady in attendance, he said:
"Tom, thank you for not having me come to your roast, because I didn't want to be a part of this. Like, normally I'd have been mad, like, 'How the f**k you leave me out?' But I was like, 'Nah, thanks.' Tom appreciate that." (14:17)
Later in the podcast, when he was given the chance to roast Brady live, the rapper declined, claiming he was a true friend of the former quarterback.
