"Sometimes I feel like a hot chick" - Joe Burrow reacts to male gaze since getting mainstream attention
Interestingly, some NFL players receive more male attention than female attention, and one such player is Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow. On Monday, Burrow made an appearance on the "Pardon My Take" podcast.
During the podcast, he explained how he sometimes feels like a "hot chick" thanks to all the male attention he has been receiving after getting mainstream in the NFL.
The conversation started with the hosts talking about getting comfortable with fame and how there's a considerable amount of male attention for them. And in some cases, it's more than the female attention.
"The best way I ever described it is every bar we ever walk into is a gay bar just for us. That's it, yeah, every dude turns around," said the host. (Time Stamp - 1:26:01)
"I've said the same thing. I sometimes feel like a hot chick when I go out because guys are just looking at me," said Joe Burrow, revealing his share of male attention.
During the podcast, Joe Burrow talked about another interesting topic, i.e., the backlash he received over a controversial outfit that he wore at Vogue World Paris. Burrow was asked to shed light on the same and made some interesting revelations.
Joe Burrow says he "did look cool" in controversial Vogue outfit despite massive backlash
In June, Joe Burrow wore a black backless suit to Vogue World Paris and received massive criticism for it. During the "Pardon My Take" podcast, Burrow said that he was aware of the backlash he would receive over his outfit choice.
"I showed up, and they gave it to me. And I said, 'Sure, why not?'" Burrow said.
"I've been roasted in just about every group chat I could possibly be roasted in," Burrow added. "[But] I did look cool and I was fully prepared for all of the criticism and roasting. I knew it was coming my way," (Time Stamp - 1:00:34)
Burrow has been enjoying the offseason while making sure that he's at the top of his game in the upcoming season. The 2023 season didn't end well for Burrow, who faced a frustrating injury that ended his play in November. He is all set to make a comeback and help the Bengals make their way to the Super Bowl.
