"Stand with your guy" - 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk urges Davante Adams to take drastic step to back Derek Carr
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was benched this week and the team will now go with backup Jarrett Stidham for the remaining two games of the season. Wide receiver Davante Adams, who was acquired by the Raiders this offseason, said this week that if it wasn't for Carr, then he wouldn't even be playing in Las Vegas this season.
While Adams has shown support for his quarterback and friend, some feel that he could do more to support Carr.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk posted his own thoughts about Adams' comments about his quarterback this week. He said that if Davante Adams really wanted to show his support for Derek Carr, then he would sit out of this week's game against his own team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Adams signed a five-year contract extension worth over $141 million with the Las Vegas Raiders after he was acquired by the team from the Green Bay Packers. Clearly, he didn't think that his former college teammate would be on his way out if he signed such a lucrative contract.
Do the Las Vegas Raiders owe QB Derek Carr money?
With the news that the Las Vegas Raiders decided to bench quarterback Derek Carr for the remaining two games of the season, it also comes with another revelation. The quarterback is no longer with the team, and he won't be at the practice facility or on the sidelines during the final two games.
Some believe that he decided to leave on his own so that he isn't a distraction for backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham and the rest of the team. Others are speculating that he was asked by the Raiders to leave the building.
No matter what caused the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback to leave his team with two weeks left in the season, there is still a significant amount of money on the line. If he is still on the roster by Feb. 15, he will be owed $40 million of guaranteed money by the Las Vegas Raiders.
Whether or not the Las Vegas Raiders decide to stick with Stidham in the future, the team and management will have to decide what their plan is for the former starting quarterback before they are due to pay him.
