Steelers megafan Snoop Dogg spills the beans on inviting Taylor Swift to Chiefs' Christmas game
Taylor Swift makes headlines whenever she shows up for a Kansas City Chiefs game to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, boosting viewership and bumping up revenues for the NFL.
However, it's not just the Chiefs who have a fanbase with superstars. The Detroit Lions have rapper Eminem and the Pittsburgh Steelers have Snoop Dogg who also recently showed up for their game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Steelers are set to clash against the Chiefs on Christmas Day at Acrisure Stadium. Recently, the rapper was asked if he would invite the billionaire pop star to watch the game with him.
Snoop Dogg was blunt in his answer:
"No, that ain’t happening," Snoop Dogg said via Today. "When it comes to a Steelers game, it’s us or nobody. We don’t side with nobody else."
Snoop Dogg was among the stars present at the stadium rooting for the Steelers as well as Elon Musk. Every Steelers home game, they have a tradition where a special guest is chosen to lead the crowd in performing the "Terrible Towel" twirl.
"It symbolizes unity. It symbolizes what we’re about — the Steel City. It’s been a part of our culture since we’ve been doing this."
Taylor Swift may not be invited by Snoop Dogg's but she'll still likely be there for the upcoming Chiefs game.
Travis Kelce reveals whether Taylor Swift will be present vs Chiefs
Travis Kelce was at a charity event on Saturday where they even played Taylor Swift's song. However, she wasn't there. When asked about whether she would be dropping by later to make the event an even bigger hit than it was, the Chiefs TE said via MLFootball:
"She will be not be here [today. But] I know she’s coming in for the game."
So now we have confirmation that Swift will indeed be at Kansas City to watch the reigning Super Bowl Champions take on the 2-2 New Orleans Saints.
The pop star had been absent from the Chiefs' last two road games and even skipped Kelce's birthday bash. Last year, Taylor Swift was with him on his birthday and reportedly spent a “chill night."
The Saints game on Monday Night Football will be the third game in the 2024 season that she'll be attending as she was in attendance in both of the Chiefs' home games.
The Chiefs vs Saints game is set to kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET at Arrowhead Stadium.
