Stefon Diggs' brother Trevon reacts to Texans WR's season-ending ACL injury
The Houston Texans received devastating news this morning when they found out that wide receiver Stefon Diggs would be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Diggs suffered a non-contact injury in the Texans' Week 8 win against the Indianapolis Colts and left the game.
Upon hearing the news that Stefon tore his ACL, little brother Trevon, who is a Dallas Cowboys cornerback, reacted to the news on Instagram. Trevon put up a story of Stefon with a heart and praying emoji and number one.
Trevon Diggs knows the pain that his brother is enduring. Trevon suffered the same injury last season when he tore his ACL during 1-on-1 drills in practice on September 21. He only played two games prior to the injury.
Stefon, along with a 2024 sixth-round pick, was traded to the Texans this offseason in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick that was sent to the Buffalo Bills. In eight games, he recorded 47 receptions for 496 yards and three touchdowns with the Texans.
The injury is even more devastating with Diggs entering a contract year as he is set to become a free agent in 2025.
Who can the Buffalo Bills look to replace Stefon Diggs with?
The Houston Texans are taking hit after hit in the wide receiver corps. Nico Collins has been inactive for a few weeks as he's on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
The Texans could look to free agency to trade for a receiver but would probably prefer to trade for an active wide receiver that is in trade talks. Luckily for the Texans, there are a number rumored to be on the trade block.
Joshua Palmer, Mike Williams, Courtland Sutton, Jakobi Meyers, and Cooper Kupp are some names involved in trade rumors in the last few weeks or the last couple of days.
The Texans are in a good position through eight weeks, with a 6-2 record. They have a chance to compete for a chance at the Super Bowl, and adding a pass catcher to plug into Stefon Diggs' void could benefit them in the long run.
