Stefon Diggs makes bombshell revelation over final year with Josh Allen’s Bills

Stefon Diggs shocked the world earlier in the offseason by handing in a trade request, despite the Buffalo Bills offering him a four-year extension. Now the star wide receiver has opened up about his last season with Josh Allen in Buffalo.

In his four seasons with Allen at the Buffalo Bills, the WR earned Pro Bowl honors every year. Last season, he went for 100-plus yards in his first five games. However, things tapered off from there.

In an interview with GQ, Diggs highlighted the fact that he was not enjoying his football. He said his mental status affected his game.

“Last year, I was in the worst mental space I’ve been in since I’ve been in the league,” Diggs said. “If I'm not in a good space, obviously that's not the best for me. So that's when things had to start shaking out.”

Diggs has since moved to the Houston Texans after signing a one-year deal worth $22.5 million. With this move, Diggs has joined his third NFL franchise after being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015.

Stefon Diggs has countered Josh Allen’s version

In his GQ interview, Diggs highlighted the lack of fun he was having at the Bills. However, last month, Allen spoke on Chris Long’s "Green Light" podcast and had a different story altogether.

“Even going back to last year, we had a lot of fun too," Allen said. “I know that people can say what they want to say, but we had a lot of success and a lot of fun doing it on and off the field. We were very much like this. So, I hate how it ended, but at some point, everything comes to an end.”

Diggs and Allen could come face-to-face when the Bills visit the Texans in their Week 5 matchup on Oct. 6.
