“Stuck in this mud”: Mike Florio predicts doom for Cowboys as Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons wait for contract extension

Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons are three of the most formidable players in the Dallas Cowboys unit. However, all three have one more thing in common: they are still waiting to be signed to a long-term deal by the Cowboys front office.

Amid the delay, NFL analyst Mike Florio predicts the Cowboys are in for a tough time this season as their star players remain uncertain about the future of the Texas franchise. Florio aired his grievances with the decision-making at the Cowboys.

On Wednesday, Florio appeared on ESPN’s ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ and called into question the decisions that have been made by Jerry Jones and Co. this offseason.

“I feel like they just don't know how to get themselves out of the corner they've painted themselves into as the Cowboys,” Florio said.

The analyst then took a deep dive into the issues plaguing the franchise at this juncture.

“They've got the issue with Dak Prescott, twice now," Florio added. "They've got the issue currently with CeeDee Lamb. And I don't think Micah Parsons is walking through the door until he gets his contract. And I don't know how they're going to work these things out.”
“The Cowboys are gonna have a rough year. And it's all because they're stuck in this mud with Prescott Lamb and Parsons.”

Out of the three, only Dak Prescott has participated in the OTAs, while wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and linebacker Micah Parsons have remained absent till now. Florio’s words are in complete contrast to those shared by the Cowboys legend a few days ago.

Dak Prescott or Micah Parsons, who should be the priority for the Cowboys?

In his appearance on the show, Mike Florio surprised the host, Pat McAfee and the audience as he claimed that the most important part of the Cowboys unit that needs a fresh contract urgently is not Dak Prescott.

“I think Micah should be the top priority," Florio said. "Frankly, he's the future. He's one of the best defensive players we've seen in a very long time.”

Parsons is only 25 and Prescott is 30; however, the Cowboys fans would want all three to be signed for the long term before their season starts against the Chicago Bears on September 8.
