"Take him and his podcast": Skip Bayless furiously demands Cowboys send Micah Parsons to rival Eagles
Sports analyst and Dallas Cowboys super fan Skip Bayless didn't mince words when talking about Micah Parsons and what the team should do with the linebacker. On this week's edition of "The Skip Bayless Show," the analyst told divisional rivals Philadelphia Eagles that Parsons was all theirs after he returned to the field.
"You can have him," Bayless said. "Good riddance. You make him the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. At this rate that he's going, he'll never ever win a defensive MVP, as in Defensive Player of the Year. He's mostly hype, a whole lot of smoke, a whole lot of mirrors. 'Oh, Micah is back' yesterday, and the Cowboys gave up 34 [points] at home to the Eagles.
He pointed out that Parsons was on the field when the Packers eliminated the Cowboys in the 2023 playoffs, when the Saints scored 35 points in a half in this year's home opener, and when the Ravens dominated Dallas. Then, he urged the Eagles to take Parsons.
"So, Eagles, you got everything else you need," Bayless said. "Why don't you just go ahead and put a little icing on your Super Bowl cake by making Micah the most overpaid defensive player in NFL history? Go ahead, you got him, you won him, take him! You can have Micah, and you can have his podcast, that he seems to take even more seriously than he does football."
Micah Parsons has seemingly fallen out of favor with Cowboys fans (or at least with one of the most famous), and the criticism hasn't stopped going his way.
Former Super Bowl champion calls out Micah Parsons over Mike McCarthy comments
After Micah Parsons seemingly insinuated that the Cowboys should fire Mike McCarthy, Skip Bayless' former co-host, Shannon Sharpe, shared his thoughts on the linebacker's comments.
"You're free for your actions," Sharpe said. "You free to say whatever you want to say, but you're not free of consequences. .... Micah, what you said still offended Mike McCarthy. ... And then he hides behind all the media trying to get clicks, all the media, trying to get the media, trying to get lights. Bro, you said that."
After losing to the Eagles at home, the Cowboys are 3-6 this season and in third place in the NFC East.
