Tarell Basham Madden rating: Is the new Bengals DE any good?
The Cincinnati Bengals signed defensive end Tarrell Basham on Friday. He'll return to the state of Ohio as he played college football for Ohio State.
Basham most recently played with the Tennessee Titans in 2023. He signed a deal with them on Dec. 5, 2022, and recorded five tackles and one tackle for a loss.
Basham began his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts as he was selected in the third round of the 2017 draft. He was a surprise cut the following season and joined the New York Jets in 2018.

He spent three seasons in New York, recording 77 tackles, eight tackles for a loss and 19 quarterback hurries.

He signed a two-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys on March 22, 2021. In 2021, he recorded 39 tackles, one forced fumble, three tackles for loss and 11 QB hits.
After being waived by the Cowboys on Nov. 29, 2022, he joined the Titans nearly a week later where he played the remainder of 2022.

Given that he didn't record many stats during the 2022-2023 season, his rating should stay around the same in the next Madden.

The Cincinnati Bengals' offseason moves have been highlighted by signing offensive tackle Orlando Brown.
They landed the Super Bowl tackle on a four-year deal worth $64 million.
The team also recently signed tight end Irv Smith, who thinks he's the missing piece to the puzzle for a Bengals' Super Bowl victory. They've also added cornerback Sidney Jones and safety Nick Scott.
The Bengals have lost many players such as tight end Hayden Hurts, safety Vonn Bell, running back Samaje Perine and safety Jessie Bates. They still have many unrestricted free agents such as Eli Apple, Tre Flowers, Brandon Allen and others.
