"Tasteless and trash" - Jeff Saturday slams Kayvon Thibodeaux for snow angel celebration

Jeff Saturday was not only upset with his team's lackluster offense on Sunday, but also with the actions of a rookie Giants player. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Nick Foles was injured late in the first half of Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

With less than a minute remaining before halftime, Foles was sacked by New York Giants rookie linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux. Foles was seen noticeably in pain on the ground. Meanwhile, Thibodeaux was seen on the CBS Sports broadcast laying next to Foles on the field doing snow angels.

Colts interim head coach and Super Bowl champion offensive lineman Jeff Saturday was asked about his feelings toward Thibodeaux's actions. He first said that he was upset that the rest of his offense didn't protect and/or stand up for Foles. He then called the rookie linebacker's actions trash and even tasteless.

What exactly the coach wanted his offensive linemen to do to protect their quarterback is unknown. But in their defense, they could have been penalized for their actions. Thibodeaux wasn't, however, but the National Football League could hand down a fine to the rookie if they see fit.

Colts HC Jeff Saturday names new starting QB for season finale

The Indianapolis Colts had a disappointing season to say the least. Former head coach Frank Reich was fired mid-season and the team hired former offensive lineman Jeff Saturday as the interim head coach. The Colts were criticized for choosing an interim head coach who had no coaching experience.

#Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday tells reporters that, 1. Nick Foles is "really sore" and won't play. 2. Sam Ehlinger will start. 3. Kayvon Thibodeaux is "tasteless" and "trash" for his snow angel celebration. 4. He's upset his linemen didn't take matters into their own hands.

Starting quarterback Matt Ryan was then benched for second-year quarterback Sam Ehlinger. The team then went back to Ryan before opting for third-string quarterback Nick Foles. The latter started the last two games but was injured on Sunday.

On Monday morning, Saturday announced that Sam Ehlinger will get the start for the Colts in the season finale on Sunday against the Houston Texans at home. This will be his third start of the season. Whether this will give Ehlinger the opportunity to win the starting job for next season as the team looks to transition is unknown.

The Colts are certainly looking for an overhaul of nearly the entire team as they head into one of the most important offseasons in the team's history. New head coach? New quarterback? The possibilities are endless for a team that was once at the top of the AFC South.
