Taylor Swift stalker who threatened Travis Kelce arrested in Gelsenkirchen: Report

Taylor Swift has been receiving threats from unhappy fans over the years. However, things got serious when a stalker's threats reached the singer's boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The good thing is that the stalker won't be a problem for the couple.

According to the Associated Press, Taylor Swift's stalker, who made death threats against Kelce and the "Blank Space" singer, was arrested on Wednesday. Police officials captured the 34-year-old stalker as he made his way into the Veltins-Arena, Gelsenkirchen, where Swift performed her first Eras Tour show in Germany.

When the stalker was arrested, Travis Kelce was present in the stadium to support his girlfriend on the opening night in Germany. According to the publication, the stalker made threats against the couple through social media. It's not the first time Swift has dealt with a stalker.

In January 2024, Taylor Swift's NYC stalker, David Crowe, was arrested in New York outside the singer's apartment. The arrest was made twice in three days for charges of stalking outside Swift's apartment.

Criminal charges weren't pressed against Crowe after he was identified as mentally unfit and was sent to a mental health hospital in February.

Taylor Swift has a disturbing history of stalkers

The list of Taylor Swift's stalkers didn't end with David Crowe. Over the years, multiple stalkers have been arrested and sentenced for making threats against the "All Too Well" singer. Before Crowe, a stalker named Mitchell Taebel from Indiana was arrested in June 2023.

Taebel was charged with harassment, intimidation, invasion of privacy and stalking. He reportedly sent multiple threatening voice notes and letters to the singer, her father and some of her backup dancers. Nevertheless, all the charges against him were dismissed in December last year.

Apart from Taebel, another stalker named Joshua Christin was arrested in July 2022 on the charges of criminal trespassing and stalking. According to the NYPD, the stalker has been captured outside the singer's home multiple times in March and June 2022.

Furthermore, Eric Swarbrick was arrested in 2018 for sending over 40 emails and letters to Taylor Swift's label at the time, Big Machine Records. Swarbrick received a 30-month prison sentence in October 2019 after pleading guilty to interstate stalking charges.
