Tee Higgins’ mom beams with pride as Bengals WR’s TD delivers 15-point lead vs Deshaun Watson-less Browns
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is one of quarterback Joe Burrow's favorite offensive targets. The Bengals have struggled to find any rhythm through the first six weeks of the season, and in Week 7, against the Cleveland Browns, the offense looked efficient.
With just over a minute remaining in the third quarter, Higgins secured a 25-yard touchdown pass from Burrow to give the Bengals a double-digit lead over the Browns. Higgins' mother, Lady Stewart, expressed her excitement for her son's touchdown as she quote-tweeted a clip on X.
"My son @teehiggins5 I see ya boy," Lady Stewart wrote on X.
Entering the fourth quarter, Higgins had four receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown as the Cincinnati Bengals led the Cleveland Browns 21-6. Stewart uses her X account to share clips and posts of her son with her 28,000 followers.
Tee Higgins received praise from HC Zac Taylor ahead of Week 7
Tee Higgins and the Cincinnati Bengals couldn't come to terms on a contract extension this past offseason. He is now playing on the franchise tag for the 2024 NFL season and will likely play elsewhere in 2025. Higgins is making sure that he doesn't leave anything on the field this season, and his head coach, Zac Taylor, has taken notice.
Higgins missed the first two weeks of the season with a hamstring injury and, since his return, has been an integral part of the Bengals offense.
“He's had some really physical plays so far," Taylor told reporters on Wednesday. "I think this year he's playing as well as he's ever played. To continue to find ways to get him opportunities. We've got a lot of good players, you’re trying to get them all touches. But when he gets his, he certainly has made people pay for it and really excited about how he's playing right now.”
Heading into Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, Tee Higgins has 25 receptions for 259 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
