Terrell Davis' 'no fly' ban gets an update as United Airlines fires flight attendant over false accusations
Earlier this month, Broncos legend Terrell Davis was handcuffed and removed from a United flight after false accusations from the flight attendant. On Tuesday, Davis shared frustration over an email from United, stating that he's banned from the airline.
On the same day, United told CNN that the flight attendant who falsely accused Terrell Davis of getting physical has been fired from the airline. Moreover, United also made a statement in which the airlines addressed the ban on Davis. According to DailyMail, the statement reads:
"Mr. Davis received this letter the day after the incident. It was generated due to the report of the flight attendant - who is no longer employed by United. The day after the letter was sent, we discussed with Mr. Davis' team that it had been rescinded."
"We have apologized to Mr. Davis for his experience and continue to review our handling of incidents like this to protect our highest priority - the safety of our customers and crew," the statement concluded.
After United's statement, Terrell Davis' attorney, Parker Stinar, expressed that United's claim to "apparently withdraw" the ban is "blatantly false". The airlines haven't made any communications with Davis or his attorneys.
“Engaging in tactics in an attempt to discredit the timeline of events is worrisome, to say the least,” Stiner said per CNN.
Terrell Davis' wife Tamiko gets emotional over United flight incident
When Terrell Davis was handcuffed and escorted out of the United flight from Denver to California, his kids and wife tagged along in the flight. Davis' family was present during the unfortunate incident, and the incident took a toll on them, especially his wife.
A few days after the incident, Terrell Davis and his wife, Tamiko Nash, made an appearance on Good Morning America. During the interview, Nash got emotional while recalling the incident and how she felt helpless.
“I thought it was a joke because what else could it be? I saw the agents come on, so, of course, it caught my attention like everyone else. And they just walked straight up to Terrell. So I jumped out of my seat, and I said, ‘Wait a minute, what’s going on?’ I hopped over to the woman next to me, and I said to Terrell, ‘Are you joking?’” Tamiko explained. (Timestamp - 4:38)
