Owens gave TMZ details on the incident, stating a fan of the San Francisco 49ers noticed kihim and stuck up a friendly chat. Suddenly, a second man interrupted the conversation, hurling insults at the man Owens was conversing with.

A witness told TMZ that the second man threatened to fight both Owens and the person he was talking to.

From there, the men went outside, where the second man eventually threw a punch at the Fall of Famer.

Owens has beaten one-on-one coverage his entire career and does it again here.

In August, Owens was accused of almost hitting a woman with his car. Later, in October, Caitlyn Davis - the woman who accused Owens - was criminally charged with a second-degree misdemeanor for falsely reporting what had happened.

Per TMZ, the court documents indicate Davis knowingly gave false information to the police after running into the Hall of Famer in her neighborhood.

The altercation between Davis and Owens took place in Florida, where the maximum sentence upon being found guilty of such a charge is 60 days of jail time and six-months of probation, with additional fines on top.
