“That offense gets a lot more exciting” – NFL insider names perfect fit for Odell Beckham Jr
Odell Beckham Jr. might not have played in over a full season now, but he's arguably the most tantalizing option in an admittedly solid free agent wide receiver class. He has options despite his ongoing ACL recovery.
The Dallas Cowboys were very interested in him last year before it was revealed that he couldn't play, but another team might be a better fit. Jordan Schultz, NFL insider, believes the Buffalo Bills make a lot of sense for Beckham.
Schultz said on the Pat McAfee Show:
"It's kind of all hinging on his health... he looked really good, he looked like the old Odell. Buffalo was one of those teams that was in the mix last time... He can absolutely impact winning... Everyone loved him inside that [Rams] building."
He continued:
"Buffalo to me, out of all those teams we just talked about, makes the most sense. I know they have Gabe Davis, obviously [Stefon] Diggs is there, but if you add a healthy Odell Beckham, that offense gets a lot more exciting. To me, Buffalo would be the most enticing if I was thinking as a fan."
Beckham could make any team better, but which one needs him the most?
Do the Buffalo Bills need Odell Beckham Jr.?
The Buffalo Bills' playoff loss exposed one thing about their roster: they did not have enough weapons. Stefon Diggs is an elite wide receiver and Dawson Knox is a solid tight end, but behind them, the options are slim.
Gabe Davis did not have the year he expected and Isaiah McKenzie wasn't great, either. Neither was capable of taking the pressure off of Diggs consistently.
Adding Odell Beckham Jr obviously makes their offense deeper, but it will also allow Davis and McKenzie to be open more. That is good for them and the Bills.
There are teams without a number one like Diggs that might need Beckham more, but the Bills could use him and they would easily be a Super Bowl contender if they were able to sign him.
Coming off an injury, he likely won't cost as much as he could this off-season, too.
