"That's disgusting" — When Travis Kelce got dizzy taking on the spicy wings challenge
Back in 2016, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce took on one of his toughest opponents ever, except this time it wasn't on a football field. Kelce appeared on the "Hot Ones" show as part of the media tour for his dating reality show "Catching Kelce."
Alongside host Sean Evans, Kelce was tasked with eating hot chicken wings. He took a bite and regretted the decision, as he immediately felt the heat from the sauce. He described the spicy wings as so hot that they were "disgusting."
"Let's get this s*** over with. So hot, that's disgusting. Why why, do I make it? I just left the most terrible taste I've ever had. I can't barely even talk right now. I don't want to touch my lips," Kelce said.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end then sat back in his chair and said that he was feeling quite dizzy from the spice and that he couldn't even move his lips. He eventually spat some of it out when he couldn't take the heat of the spicy chicken wings any longer.
Travis Kelce teased bye-week plans to brother Jason Kelce
The Kansas City Chiefs will now venture into their bye week after a win over the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. On Wednesday's episode of the "New Heights" podcast, Jason Kelce asked his brother if he had any plans during his scheduled time off.
Travis Kelce teased that he did indeed have plans but that he wasn't planning on telling anyone what those plans were. The Super Bowl-winning tight end joked that if his travel plans become public knowledge, then he would talk about it next week.
Jason: “You got any bye week plans?”
Travis: “Of course I do.”
Jason: “You gonna tell anybody?”
Travis: “No, But if any of it comes out , I’m sure we’ll talk about it on the show.”
Jason Kelce then appeared satisfied with his younger brother's answer and declined to ask for any additional information on the podcast.
Jason: “OK, cool, sounds good.”
Kelce didn't say whether he was spending his bye week with Taylor Swift, who was back at Arrowhead Stadium for Monday night's game. The Grammy-winning singer will embark on the next and final leg of her record-setting "The Eras" tour next week in Miami, Florida.
