"That s**t doesn't matter" - Derrick Henry refuses to clap back at Chargers' Khalil Mack's taunt

It's been a while since we witnessed two NFL stars jaw at each other on or off the field. However, this week, Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack chose to poke the bear after their 30-23 loss at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens.

After going up against Henry on Monday night, Mack said he wasn't moved by Henry's talents:

"That's the thing. I don't think it's hard to play against that guy. Hopefully, we see this team again, that's all."

Derrick Henry refused to rise to the bait. When reporters brought Mack's comments to his attention and asked for his opinion on them, Henry's reply was short and sweet:

"I don't care. That s—t doesn't matter. We won."

Derrick Henry leads Ravens rushing attack with 140 yards vs. Chargers

Mack may have chosen to run his mouth and claim that it's not difficult to contain Henry but the Ravens offense proved otherwise.

In what was billed as the Har-Bowl, Henry rushed for 140 yards on 24 carries with the Ravens overall managing to rack up 212 yards on the ground. While Henry didn't manage to find the end zone on Monday night, backup running back Justice Hill picked up a 51-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. For his part, Henry was a walking first-down, breaking tackles and keeping the offense ticking in each of his 24 carries.

With the Har-Bowl done and dusted, Henry will now gear up to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday evening in a showdown that will pit two of the NFL's leading running backs against each other.

Saquon Barkley made franchise history in Week 12 after racking up 302 scrimmage yards including 255 yards rushing and two TDs. Henry was also locked in on that matchup, paying Barkley a three-word compliment after the game.

Entering Week 13, Barkley is currently top of the rushing yards list with 1,392. Henry trails him at No. 2 with 1,325, though he has three more touchdowns than Barkley. In any case, considering Barkley was getting MVP shouts after his 255-yard night against the Rams, we could very well see one of Henry, Lamar Jackson or Barkley come out on top after their showdown this Sunday.
