"There's so much to learn" - Tom Brady gets candid about his upcoming job post NFL career

Tom Brady is already the highest paid NFL broadcaster of all time. This is despite never calling a game and having no definite start date for his upcoming position. He signed a massive contract with FOX Sports to take over as their leading NFL analyst as soon as he decides to retire from his playing career, whenever that may be. The deal is reportedly worth $375 million across 10 years.

While Tom Brady has dominated the NFL on the football field for more than two decades, broadcasting presents a new opportunity for him. He's apparently excited to take on a new challenge and attempt to succeed in other areas of the NFL. He discussed the situation during a recent episode of the "Let's Go!" podcast with Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray. He said:

"There's so much to learn. There's so much to teach, you know, it's ever evolving. Believe me as much as you think I'm willing to, you know, teach people I'm really looking to learn. I'm really looking to learn from all the people that I get to talk to.
"I get an opportunity to be in a job in the future where I get to travel around and learn from all the other people that I've looked up to and admired. Different organizations and different people. So it's exciting for me too. You know, I feel like the opportunity to do that is something that I'm really looking forward to whenever that time comes."

Tom Brady's future is currently in question entering the 2023 NFL offseason. His contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has officially expired, making him a free agent. It's unclear what his intentions are moving forward, but all options appear to be on the table. This includes returning to the Buccaneers, joining a new team and potentially retiring.

If Tom Brady decides to retire, he already has a massive contract waiting for him with FOX Sports. This could play into his decision on whether or not he will continue playing football, though no official announcement has been made to this point.

Tom Brady has not only set a new record for being the highest paid broadcaster of all time, he's done so by a significant margin. His AAV of $37.5 million more than doubles any other reported contract for sports broadcasters in the same position.

Brady will replace Troy Aikman at FOX as the leading NFL analyst. Aikman accepted a contract with ESPN to call Monday Night Football each week. His deal is worth $18.5 million in AAV, the second-most ever. He surpassed Tony Romo, who currently makes $17 million in AAV on his contract with CBS.
